What is a Candy Shorts first look?

A first look is a series page that goes live before the review exists. It carries only what candy.ai shows a guest and what I checked on the day: the number of episodes, how many are free, the token price, the cast and the tags. Search engines are told to skip first-look pages until the review lands, so you find them through this page, the drop log and the category, character and creator grids.

What does the sync compare?

Four things: series that are new, episode counts that changed, the official Top 10 ranks and series that disappeared. Anything else, such as a new poster or a reworded synopsis, is not a drop and does not get an entry. I read two sites, candy.ai plus candyshorts.com, and I never act on a rumor from a forum or a Telegram channel.

New series join the grids on the category pages, character pages and creator pages automatically after each check, so a hub you bookmarked keeps growing without me touching it.

How do I read the Candy Shorts drop log?

Read the drop log as a dated list: each entry is one catalog check that found something real, newest first, with the date as its heading and a one-line summary beside it. A summary reads like "6 new series" or "2 series with new episodes · Top 10 reshuffled".

Under the heading you will find up to four kinds of line:

• New series: a row of cards, each carrying its First look or New series tag.
• New episodes: a line such as "5 → 6 episodes", which is the episode count before and after the check.
• Official Top 10 moves: "entered the official Top 10 at #4", "moved from #7 to #5" or "left the official Top 10". These describe Candy AI's own rail, not our live list on the Top 10 page.
• Series that left: "no longer listed on Candy Shorts". The page stays up for reference.

A check that finds nothing writes nothing, so a quiet fortnight shows as a gap and not as filler. The line above the log gives the time of the last check in UTC, and the newest eight entries are open while older ones sit under "Older drops". The home page repeats the same status in one line.

Two limits. The log does not track the New flag, heat scores or prices, so flag changes are written up in the history section further down. And it only records what a guest can see on candy.ai, which for Spicy series is a title, a tag list and a blurred poster.

What does the Candy Shorts New badge mean on Candy AI?

The New badge means the series carries Candy AI's New flag, and nothing more exact than that. It reads "New" on mobile and "New Episodes" on desktop, so one flag wears two names, and from outside I cannot tell whether it marks a brand-new series, freshly added episodes or both.

What the badge does and does not tell you

• It does put the series in candy.ai's New filter. The same flag sits in the page code of candyshorts.com, where the cards show no visible badge.
• It does not give a date, an episode count or a reason. Nothing says when the flag was set or when it will be removed.
• It does move in both directions. Candy.ai's badge sat on 18 series on October 22, 2026, while candyshorts.com flagged 17. By October 25 the counts were 21 and 18: six series gained the flag and three lost it.
• The red "New" label inside episode lists is noise. On October 22 it sat on 572 of 586 locked episodes, so it says nothing about freshness.

How are our New series and New episodes tags different?

Ours are dated by our own checks. "New series" means we first saw the title within the last 3 weeks. "New episodes" means the episode count rose within the last 7 days. Neither tag depends on guesswork about what Candy AI meant, which is why I trust them more than the badge.

How do I catch new Candy Shorts episodes for free?

Save the series to your Hot list and this site tells you when it gets more episodes: no account, no email, no cost. The alert is built into every series page.

1. Open the series page and press the flame button marked "Hot list". It changes to "On your Hot list" and remembers the episode count at that moment.
2. Keep using the site. At most once an hour, the next page you open compares your saved episode counts with the latest catalog.
3. Watch for the box. When a saved series has more episodes, a small "New episodes on your Hot list" box shows up to three titles with their new episode counts. Tap one, or dismiss it, and the saved count resets.

The limits are honest ones. The list lives only in your browser's storage, so it stays on that phone or computer and disappears if you clear site data. It is not a push notification: you see it the next time you open a page here. I never see who saved what, only an anonymous count that feeds the live Top 10.

• The drop log: check it every other day, since that is how often the catalog is re-checked.
• The card tags: "New episodes" stays on a card for 7 days after an episode count goes up.
• candy.ai itself: its New filter shows flagged series, though not why. Its web-app prompt lists alerts about features, discounts and chat messages, and episodes are not on that list.

Are there new Candy Shorts episodes every week?

Candy AI says yes, but its help center will not guarantee it, so I treat weekly drops as a hope and not a promise. The candy.ai home banner promises new episodes every week, and candyshorts.com repeats the pledge in its own description. The help center then adds that no release schedule can be guaranteed.

What my checks show is bursts, not a calendar. Eight series arrived between October 20 and 22, and six more at the October 25 check. At that October 25 check, no existing series had gained an episode, so what looks like constant news is mostly new series, not new episodes.

I would not wait for a Tuesday. If a series you like is on your Hot list, the alert does the waiting for you, and the episodes guide explains how the counts and the price per locked episode work. When a series does gain episodes, the drop log shows it as a before-and-after count, and the card tag runs for a week.

What are the latest Candy Shorts drops, dated?

The latest drop on record is October 25, 2026, when six series arrived, and the one before it is the run of eight between October 20 and 22. These are dated facts. The drop log above takes over from here, so this history stays short.

October 25, 2026: six new series

• Dad Left My Step-Mom: a stepmom traded in for a 24-year-old woman and a stepson who stays for the weekend (heat 2).
• My Mother-In-Law Wants To Be My Hall Pass: a dinner-table joke that only the wife's mother treats as an offer (heat 2).
• My Girlfriend's Mom Needs A Ride: forty minutes in a car and a secret to keep (heat 1).
• Camp Rules: a couples-only lakeside campground where the neighbors share the fire (heat 2).
• My Stepsister is Back - Bonnie Blue: Spicy, series id 356, Premium only (heat 5 by shelf rule).
• Truth or Dare With My Stepsister: Spicy, series id 357, Premium only (heat 5 by shelf rule).

The official total rose from 176 to 182 series: public from 161 to 165, Spicy from 15 to 17, and nothing left. After this check we cover 148 of 182 series, 136 public and 12 Spicy, and leave 33 out on purpose.

The same check showed three series losing the New flag. Two are series we cover, The Witch Who Made Me King and My Wife's Dance Instructor, and I took their write-ups out of the ranking below. The third is one we leave out.

October 20 to 22, 2026: eight new series and a clean-up

Between our checks on October 20 and 22 the public catalog grew from 153 to 161 series, and nothing was removed. All eight arrivals carried the New flag: Taking Care of My Stepmom, Boss Paid Me to Watch His Wife, The King's Chambermaid, My Son's Fiancée, My Step-Sister Can't Resist Me, Lodge 69 Was Double Booked, I Couldn't Say No To My Stepsister and The Prince's Last Week Unwed.

• Four series lost the flag. We cover two of them, Under the Chief and Our Host Is Riley Reid. Both are still worth watching, they are just no longer new.
• Ten series dropped from 20 listed episodes to 5 because poster-less placeholders for episodes 6 to 20 disappeared: My Wife's Dance Instructor, My First Night Shift, Room Service, The Nun in Our Guest Room, Midnight Compartment, Yes Professor, My Step-Sister's Dormitory, Stepmom Summer Fling, Staycation with My Fiancée's Mother and My Girlfriend's Mom.

If you see a 20-episode count for any of those ten, it is stale. The longest series list shows who really runs long.

Which new Candy Shorts should I start with?

Start with a new public series: each opens with two free episodes, and none of the public arrivals from the October 22 and 25 checks goes past heat 2. They are slow burns, so pick by premise and enjoy the tension.

After every check, the home page rotates one featured series, the Pick of the drop. It favors strong heat, fresh arrivals, new episodes and a place in either Top 10, and it never repeats a series picked in the last 20 drops. Spicy series and first looks are not eligible, so the pick is always something you can start free, with a full review behind it.
